Invitation to 8th National Conference on Men's Issues, Hyderabad- 2016


Dear Mens Activists/Stakeholders,
Save Indian Family- Hyderabad Trust (SIF-HYD) is happy to invite delegates for the 8thNational Conference on Men's Issues, Hyderabad- 2016 (8NatCon). The Conference will provide an opportunity for experts and principal stakeholders of the men’s movement in India and abroad to come together, discuss pressing and dormant issues, resolve and summarize the way forward for the movement. Since this year’s edition of the National Conference is being held in Hyderabad, the City of Nizams, the theme of the agenda shall be spiced with a fine mixture of Nizami/Telugu humour and ambience.
Please take this opportunity to mark your calenders and make your travel arrangements to reach Hyderabad latest by the morning of 13th August 2016. Make your travel arrangements early on to avoid disappointments.The outline of the 8NatCon schedule is given below.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
Check-in at Venue:              12 Noon, Saturday, 13thAugust 2016,
Check-out from Venue:       9 AM, Monday, 15th August 2016
TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM VENUE:
Shared local transport vehicles (Buses/Vans) shall start at specific timings from Arrival Points on the morning of 13th August 2016. Delegates arriving late will have to make their own transportation arrangements.  Start timings of these vehicles shall be based on travel reservations of groups and shall be intimated by end of July.

Likewise, departing delegates shall be grouped into vehicles starting at specific timings on the morning of 15thAugust 2016. Delegates leaving early or late have to make their own transportation arrangements.
Additional help in this issue shall be provided only on the basis of availability of resources
SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT (SPOC) FOR EACH CHAPTER:
Each chapter is requested to nominate their SPOC for communications, coordination, nominations of delegates and payment processing. SPOCs shall be receiving the procedure to be followed for nomination and payment processing.
AGENDA:
In continuation of the theme of this year’s International Men’s Day, the main topic of 8NCF shall be on Men’s Health.
Expert Panel discussions are proposed for the following topics.

We are also inviting abstracts for presentations by individual speakers on the following topics.
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English or Hindi, via email to admin@sif-hyd.org
  • Abstracts should be submitted by 5 June 2016
  • Only presentations approved by a selection panel shall be allowed to be presented to maintain the high level of standards set up by past conferences.
  • Abstract should contain the title of the presentation along with the full name(s) of the author(s).
  • Abstract should be limited to 500 words only
  • Presentation shall be limited to 15 minutes per speaker

Note:
  • The above price per delegate is on the basis of Triple Occupancy. (3 people per room). Room allocation will be done nearer to the conference date.
  • There are a limited number of rooms available for Double Occupancy- please contact your SPOC for price
  • The delegate fee includes stay, food and conference at the venue from 13thto 15thAugust 2016 and limited travel arrangements at specific times from arrival points to venue and from the venue to the departure points.
  • Online bank account details shall be made available to SPOCs. Delegate registrations have to be done compulsorily via SPOCs for chapter members. Individuals can contact SIF-HYD representative for registration and payments.
  • As seats are limited, each chapter is allotted a tentative figure of 10 delegates. Filling of seats are made on first-come-first-serve basis by the SPOC. Additional bookings may be kept on waitlist to be adjusted on availability.
  • To ensure your allotment, please contact your SPOC immediately for further details.
  • SIF-HYD reserves the right for allotment or non-allotment of seats.


Additional notifications shall be communicated to SPOCs from time to time. Please keep in touch with your SPOCs, make the registrations and make your travel arrangements early and have a power packed meet in Hyderabad
